As every pundit in America announced at least 29,563 times this weekend, the Idiot-In-Charge announced a new nominee for SCOTUS first thing Monday morning. Of course, all perfectly timed to deflect criticism of the Scooter Libby indictment, and ongoing investigation of the White House coverup into outing Mrs. Wilson. Anyone with common sense knew that a radical right wing judge would be coming down the pipe.
Now Barndog, you might ask... why would that be? It's very simple: Bush and Rove know nothing else but to divide this country further, because they have nothing left but the radical right wing that supports their every move 110%. Especially appointees to SCOTUS that will effect decisions for the next oh, 30 years or so. Decisions like Roe-v-Wade, the Family Medical Leave Act, firing people with AIDS, interstate machine gun trading, simple little things like that. Those are warm-ups.

You know - simple issues of culture control related to the Dobson/Phelps religious belief system. That religious belief system that completely mocks everything Jesus teaches, and should infuriate any decent Christian worth their salt.

This isn't about religious belief systems. It is about the inability of Americans to pay attention to the matters which affect them and their families. Americans are a wasteful and selfish people. We, by and large, cannot see beyond our own hands outstretched beyond our faces. What matters most to many of us, is what happens next: that soccer game, football on TV, or whatever it may be that happens to be on our list of (feigned) happiness inducing activities. Most of which are bullshit. All of which tend to the selfish, needy ME ME ME ME society in which we have created for ourselves. Look at general elections - maybe half of America votes.... MAYBE. I happen to not be a solid buyer of the numbers thrown at me on TeeVee, because that idiot box and the people whom own the reporters and networks - are as corrputed as they come. There may be a dozen or so worthwhile newspapers left in this country anymore. The rest I wouldn't wipe my, or my dog's ass's with. (I have 3 dogs totaling 304 pounds. I don't believe in punt (lap) dogs...)

BuShit operates on just about the same premises. Selfish, obstinate, greedy, power hungry and a complete, overwhelming asshole. He knows Americans are pissed off about the indictments. He knows many of us think they've fucked us around on the war. Hell, the evidence keeps pouring out telling us so. And, everytime a dissenting patriot steps to the plate to tell his/her story about a part they may have participated in with regards to the war in Iraq - this administration destroys them. Without even flinching. Republicans are attempting to equate Mrs. Wilson's work with WMD's to that of a desk jockey. She was a covert agent for many years - a known and proven fact. They are also trying to liken the Libby indictment to a simple charge. The Clinton/Lewinsky affair - is a high crime against the American people.

I have news for you Republicans: outing National Security secrets, their agents, and obstructing an investigation both with the FBI and a Federal Prosecutor are high crimes against the American people. A blowjob isn't. Lying to cover-up the affair is still, in my opinion a personal matter - President or not. Mr. Starr - at this juncture in time, compared to Mr. Fitzgerald - looks like a fucking 1st year law student.

So, if the republican right wishes to believe that a blowjob caused more constitutional harm to this nation than the current situation... I wish them good luck. The definition of insanity as I understand it is, repeating the same behavior, and expecting different results.

I hope that they get back on their medication very, very soon.
