Bush alighting in full flight gear from the COD (Carrier Onboard Delivery) flight and likening it to a 'fighter jet' is roughly akin to getting off a UPS truck in a brown uniform and calling it a NASCAR racer.

Either way, Bush got out the passenger side, but let folks think he flew it. I for one would love to see the Chimp try to land on a carrier! It would be very entertaining, and since the Navy has filmed every carrier landing since the Langley, his ramp strike would be No. 1 on YouTube!

I knew some Vietnam utility helo guys. Some called what they flew "ass an' trash", or if they were polite, "pigs 'n people". Either way, Bush fits in.

I remember the photo of the Viking. It had "George W Bush/Commander in Chief" written on the right side of the fuselage. That's the mapreader's side, isn't it? Doesn't the driver sit on the left?

With Bush reading the maps, it's a good thing that was a big ship and almost in sight of San Diego!
