There has been a lot of speculation that America can only take so much provocation from Iran in its dedicated effort to change the face of the Middle East and overthrow all those Islamomunnistfascist governments and install good god-fearing governments based on democracy and corporate white collar crime.

I predicted suggested – yeah, that’s the ticket – I only suggested that the Bu$h malAdministration would attack yesterday. Now I understand how I was distracted because yesterday was Tax Day for America. April 15th, the traditional day in which American are grabbed by the ankles, turned upside down and shaken vigorously, fell on a Sunday this year, so of course Tax Day was postponed, as I should have expected, knowing full well how saintly and religious the Bu$hies are. Money changers in the temple and all that.

I suppose the real backroom truth here is that Inquisitor General Gonzalez has been busy memorizing The Truth v3.4, and hasn’t been able to authorize a legal opinion that Iran is in violation of a UN resolution, or some double-secret Commandment or something.

Soon this will all be behind us, and the new Inquisitor General will be able to sign off on Mr Cheney’s legal finding that the Iranians are evil and must be stopped. As a bonus, May 16th is a handshake day, which portends success for business deals, such as signing contracts, applying for loans, placing orders, attacking innocent countries in pre-emptive wars of aggression, and making announcements. It also begins a void of course moon period during which nothing may happen or there is nothing to worry about.
