SGT Frank Sandoval

Via BadTux, I’ve learned that SGT Frank Sandoval has finally succumbed to injuries he suffered he suffered during service in Iraq a little over a year ago. He wounded by an IED and a major portion of his skull was lost. During his time of attempted recovery, SGT had to wear a special helmet on his head because much of his brain was exposed.

The Mercury News, a local paper in his area with a strong and professional staff, has created a website about SGT Sandoval. It is a moving tribute to this man, but it is frank, and frighteningly clinical.

As BT asks,

“How many other Frank Sandovals are there out there who have not been counted as victims of Dear Leader's little war for oil because they died months after they were evacuated from Iraq, not immediately? We'll never know. Those statistics are not being collected.”

It would be embarrassing to Mr Bu$h and to the Republican Party if Americans knew the true totals of soldiers killed, wounded, maimed like SGT Sandoval, and ten ignored to death in many Army Hospitals like Walter Reed.

The dollar cost of Mr Bu$h’s ego-war are horrendous. The cost in human lives shattered and dispersed to the four winds is incalculable.

That is why we are not allowed to know these costs. If all of this were made public, known to the country, there would be a huge uprising and these power-mad cowards would not be able to hide the catastrophe they have created in their lust for power and influence.
