If you have run around the internet tubes enough, you‘ve probably noted the occasional post in which the blogger discusses internet searches that brought visitors to the site.

That’s a clue.

The blogger is stumped for a topic.

I have about 27 regular readers, and I’d like to thank you all for your daily visits. (I also have about 12 readers from various army.mil sites around the world, and four daily visitors from the NCTC in Pensacola. (I hope you guys up in Pensacola continue to have success in keeping the nation safe. Thank you.) I get a few visitors from other assorted mil sites: navy.mil, af.mil, and they check in from various points around the world, some nice, some not so nice. Hats Covers off also to the visitors from USMC.mil. Those of you who have been around a long time know I have a fondness for the Corps, even though that wasn’t my branch of service. I spent some time in a hospital with some Marines back a lifetime ago, and discovered the lads didn’t understand the odds of poker, but always had a tremendous gusto for life.

Thank you, one and all, for what you do. I know being in the green bag is sometimes less than pleasant. Stay safe. You know I disagree with what is happening in Iraq; we should never have gone there. Come home safe, in one piece, and love your families.

My thanks also to the folks from the various .gov sites who visit, although the two people from icz.gov puzzle me since I have no idea who or what that is. The google isn’t much help, either. To the fine folks from house.gov and senate.gov: p l e a s e pay some attention to what the voters and taxpayers are telling you. Over 70% of us have had enough of the insanity that George Bu$h and the Republicans have brought to this country. It’s in your power to make us whole again. “Compassionate conservatism” is a scam – a code word for economically and politically screwing the poor and middle class and enriching the ultra-rich. Just how much money do you think they need? When is enough enough? How about fixing things so we can afford to buy a second pair of shoes?

Last night (Eastern Time Zone) I had a visitor from the House of Parliament. Is Gordon Brown really going to pull all the troops out of Basra?

I had a visitor from Beijing today. 有一个早晨好。很快回来。

I suppose it’s really flattering to consider that because of the internet people from all over the world will actually check in to M&C just to see what drivel I’ve thrown out there.

Thanks to all.
