Django Reinhardt was a Belgian guitarist who became world-renowned as one of the jazz greats of the 30s and 40s. His fourth and fifth fingers of his left hand were partially paralyzed as the result of a fire and he learned a new way to combine a sweet fingering technique with a gifted ability to translate sometimes tricky jazz chord progressions into charming pieces.

This piece is a 1939 film short with Stéphane Grapelli playing his violin in harmonic counterpoint. This was before he played a rock-jazz fusion score for a Chuck Norris film, so maybe it doesn't count.

All you young rock whippersnappers take note that it’s possible to get a good sound without a 200 Db amp.
